LICENSE PLATES FOR THE TRUCK AND IT ONLY TOOK ONE WEEK!

The man that I purchased the car from has become a friend.  He and his brother run this lot that has used cars for sale, rentals, trucks, and they are both really nice men.  He gave me a fair price and I have never purchased a car or truck without going back and forth on price.  But my research showed that his price was less than what the car would sell for in the states and he paid the charge to bring it into the country.  I accepted his price and have been happy since with my purchase.

This is Francisco - now he has three other names but we call him Cisco.  He told me to come back to him to get my plates so that I would not have to pay tax on them.

In Mexico, when you register a car you have to show residency and I could not.  So Cisco gave his address.  No on my drivers license, my car license plates and the registration, my name is there but his address is on all of the paperwork.  If I ever get into trouble or an accident, Cisco will get the call from the police.  I need to give him my daughters number for emergencies.

Anyway, when I got the car I registered it and then went to get my drivers license.  I came back to get the license plates and stickers. However in the mean time the government changed the law about how to go about getting the license plates (without notice to any of the dealers.)  Long story short - we did get the license plates and while we waited for all that to occur we had a ball.  I looked at some house's to rent - to buy - areas around the Puerto Vallarta area.

One place that was of interest to me to see in more detail was Boca de Toinatlan.  It is this little cove on the south side of the Banderas Bay which forms Puerto Vallarta.

We went there with two people that we got to know from Canada and we had lunch, watched the kids play, and looked at real estate.

That was a fantastic fish.   Cooked over a wood fire with wonderful spices.

Had to go to Senior Frog's.  Had to get on a Pirate ship.

After I got the license plates we headed off to Guadalajara.  I wanted to get to the dental clinic there and get some things from the area.  We stayed with a friend of mine who turned his house into a hotel.  It was fantastic.

We stayed with him for a few days and then went over by the dental clinic connected with the University.  However, Ken and I both became very ill and we left the area without going to the clinic.  I know this very good doctor in Colima so we drove there, and got some pills and we are now fine.  But while I am here in Colima, the volcano spilled some lava and let go some steam.  Was not anything big.

That is our adventures  - for right now at least.  Until next time...
