I HAVE PURCHASED A HOME IN MEXICO

This map shows the bay of Banderas.  The area that I purchased a home in is called Buceries.  There are actually two different states that form the area around the bay.  Both are thought to be Puerto Vallarta by tourist. But if you look at the map above you will see that the main road (yellow and marked 200) crosses a river (Rio Amerca) and at that point the states change.  Puerto Valliarta the actual town is in the state of Jalisco.(he-Lis-koh).
Once you cross the river the state is Nayarat.(nah-yah-REET)

I have purchased a home in the State of Nayarat and in the city of Bucerias.  People that choose Bucerias are looking for just a tad more quiet that Puerto Valliarta offers.  Also being on the south side of the bay, you have more cool wind.  In fact the wind surfing finals are held in Bucerias.  There are major giant hotels along this coast line and further up in the bay from Bucerias is some really good surf.  While Bucerias is more quiet and small town as compared to Puerto Vallarta it is a town to recon with in its own right.

The house that I bought was the best constructed house I saw, and the most livable.  I must have looked at least 30 or the worst houses I have ever seen.  The one large draw back to this property is that the owner did not want a yard or any upkeep of a yard so the house is built almost to the max of the property lines.  However there is vacant land beside it and behind it.  Who knows if in the future I could not acquire one or both of those lots.  But at the present I will use landscaping and creative art to create the appearance of a view and yard.

The house is very simple in design.  The windows/doors (to which there are many) are arched.  The house has three bedrooms all with their own bathrooms and exit doors.  The bedrooms are on one side of the house and lead into the living room, dinning room and the kitchen.  The kitchen does not have cabinet and needs designing.  But it is all very livable and workable.

each bedroom has its own bathroom there are only the two small bedrooms shown here, but there are three altogether.

One of the fast-growing areas of the bay for real estate development is the region between Bucerias and Punta de Mita, referred to as the North Shore.  Bucerias has been a favorite area for homeowners for many years, especially since Puerto Vallarta started getting too big for some.  La Cruz de Huanacaxtle features newer developments that offer homes, but most new real estate developments in both La Cruz and Bucerias is condominiums.

This house was built in 2007 and stands alone.  That is hard to find here.  I did not want a condominium because I did not want the association fee nor did I want the closeness.  The other type of housing that is presented is what I call row housing.  All of the houses are the same and all are connected by a common wall.  There is no parking other than in front on your home with a small walk way to your door, but if you choose to landscape, you have parking on the street.

If I had wanted to pay 300,000.00 I would have had a very nice looking home.  But my objective was to keep this under 100,000.00 and that I did.  I am happy with the choice.

Now to get ready to move again but this move will be to our own home that we will own.

So until we move and get back on line in our new home -  Hasta Luego from Ken and Donna
