We say good by to the Grand Bay.
Wonderful memories and quiet relaxing time. Great hotel and if you every get the chance to go to Manzanillo Colima, stay at least one night at this wonderful resort.
We got a taxi to deliver us to the new hotel and driver became our guide to Manznillo.
He took us on a tour through the banana plantations.
Here the banana's are being taken off the stocks, washed, and put into a truck for delivery.
This is very much a farming town with resorts and fantastic beaches mixed in. Plantations of bananas, mango's, coconuts are all over this area. The fruit is so wonderful and road side stands line the streets.
I do not remember what this is called but I had it once in the states. The fruit when opened smells just horrible but it is very good, not to my taste really. The texture inside the fruit is kind of like a banana but more mushy.
This little fruit has a seed inside that you take our and just eat the white part.
I had made a executive decision to take two full days and have a vacation at the Karmina Place in Manzanillo. This is an all inclusive hotel. Once you pay for your room, all your drinks, food and what ever else you could think of is included.
This is on the beach and I did not even try to count the number of pools that this place has.
This is our room and Mr. Hyder is going over instructions about the scuba dive that he is dressed to take....notice the hat is never off his head and of course he has on top of the hat a flash light. Why not?
This hotel is very famous and there are many video's on you tube of it but this is our entry video.

We did sign up for deep sea diving and we trained in one of the pools on site. Because of Ken's asthma he was not allowed to go into the ocean, but I did. I do not think that I will dive another time. For me the tanks, the gauges, made me feel very dependent upon "things" and almost restricted. It was beautiful and I enjoyed it a lot but I think I will stick with snorkeling, to me I just feel more free.
Sorry but I was paying too much attention to breathing and there are no pictures of this adventure.
From here we traveled up to Puerta Vallarta with another taxi driver. That ride could would have had any person hanging on for dear life. This guy took the jungle route (not on any map) and I had my eyes closed more than half the way. I was very glad that we got there and all in one piece.
