The results came back and he had Typhoid fever, Typhus, two different intestinal track parasites and one other thing that I did not understand, and could not interpret. The doctor gave him a bunch of medicine and we are to see him again in 15 days.
However, I was not too sure of this doctor. During the office visit he used this thing that at one end was a kind of medal looking rod that he asked Ken to hold in his hand. From that medal object lead a wire that was connected to a pointed cylinder and had a light bulb on the other end from the point of the cylinder. The doctor then put the point end onto different parts of Kens body and the light would turn on. Then the doctor held this cylinder and put his own hand onto Ken in certain area's and the light would go on.
Ya right. The doctor told me that this was to test his different systems. OK...
Time for a second opinion. I wanted to take Ken to the hospital in Morelia.
Now I had sold my car and I had to go get that money from the man I sold it to and get paperwork done on the transfer of ownership. So I got a cab and we went to the person who purchased the car. I said good by to my faithful little car that I drove the heck out of, did the paperwork and got the money and off we went.
Leaving Patzcuaro I took some pictures of the trip.
Enjoyed the sights of the trip and the streets of Morelia.
The hospital.
The wait time to see the doctor in the emergency room was less than one hour. The cost was less than $2.00 USD. He agreed with everything the doctor here in Patzcuaro said and with the medicine that had been prescribed. Guess we will stick with the dr. here in Patzcuaro, he seemed to know what he was doing (even with that silly electrical light thing.)
Well that's the blog for today. Until another day and another adventure.
