Too nice a day to stay home so we took a drive. Here are some photo's from our few hours out.
THIS IS HOW THE COP'S IN TOWN RIDE AROUND. ONE DOES HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION TO PEOPLE STANDING UP IN A PICK-UP WITH GUNS.
TYPICAL TRAFFIC FOR DOWNTOWN AROUND CENTRAL PLAZA
ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING IS ON THE STREET THAT CIRCLES THE PLAZA
PICKING UP SOME FOOD AT THE OPEN MARKET
WE WENT INTO THE PLAZA. IT WAS SUCH A PRETTY DAY THAT WE PICKED UP SOME FOOD AND EAT IN THE PARK. WE ARE LEARNING TO KICK BACK AND JUST SIT AND ENJOY, SOMETHING WE NEVER REALLY HAD TIME TO DO IN THE STATES.
THESE ARE TWO PYRAMIDS = WELL THE BASE OF THEM. THEY ARE NOT FAR FROM OUR HOUSE.
These ruins are in a town called Ihuatzio. Ihuatzio is a little tiny village. You have to drive out of town on a cobble stone road and along the way you see all these different sections of land that have each section bordered with rocks about three to four feet high. Once I got to the top where the ruins are, I was completely alone. I just stood there. It was utter quiet and you could hear the breeze in the air. It was truly an astounding feeling just standing quietly there. I was suppose to pay to see the ruins so I just took this shot from the road. Someday I will go back. Something was special up there.
In the tiny village is the church and in the church are stones taken from the ruins and put into the church building. Here is the church.
My blog. has just my camera shots and I am not a photographer. If you want to see something done by a professional take a look at this web sight - it is the best I have seen for the whole area.
