Never have I seen traffic conditions like we have here. This Day of the Dead is HUGH. I had to go down to do some shopping - you know like normal every day life? I took my car out and came right back home to call a cap. Did my shopping and came home.
The roads are full of cars that are passing each other with less than an inch between the two. Cars are parked all over the place, people are backing down the streets to let other cars come forward cause they can not pass.
I was down in the Plaza today and ran into one couple from Chapas and two people that we knew from Chapala - even one from Cancun. Everyone and their long lost dead family members must be in town.
Next year during the day of the dead - I am staying home and never leaving my house. Even the cop's built these high rise structures that they are up in the air in, there is no visual ability on the ground. There is no walking ability, and for sure there is no reason to drive a car in this mess.
And here is the truly bad part - this will not end until Wednesday!
