OPEN MARKET SHOPPING DAY

Today we went shopping for food at the open market.  Now, we are so tired and worn out, yet I have to start dinner.  
We have to park the car several blocks away and walk.  This is what the streets to the market look like.

What sort of things do they sell in the open market?  Well they sell stuff you do want and stuff you never want to see at all.

these are dead fish and I guess you use them for soup?

I am buying spices for my dinner.

Now this was something that lots of people here like and they make this wonderful dish with it but personally I will wait until someone else cooks this baby up and then without looking at what is in the pan - eat the dish.  

Those two things inside the glass are pigs heads with eyes no less......

On the way home I noticed that our house is seen from several streets away and took this picture.  Our house is the one behind the two cypress trees with the five large windows and you can just see the top of my arched kitchen window.  

Once home I will wash my beans, soak them over night and then cook the bean tomorrow.  I have the chicken cooked already.  I will make my green salsa today and get my spices ready for tomorrow.  In my beans I use two spices and I do not know the name of one but it is the long sprig green thing.  I use only the leaves and the other green leaf thing is Avocado leaves, I use the oil from the leaves in the beans.
